Information Technology Director, Sisters of Mercy

Location: Cumberland, RI; Merion, PA; Rochester, NY; Belmont, NC; Omaha, NE; or Silver Spring, MD. The Information Technology (IT) Director is an Institute-wide management position responsible for leading and providing accountability across all aspects of the technology environment with a global and bilingual user community of over 2000 women religious and 800 employees. Responsibilities include technology planning, fostering technology adoption, overseeing IT service delivery and management of a geographically disperse technology team to collaboratively achieve goals, meet quality standards, reduce risks, increase user satisfaction, and maintain operations. Additionally, the IT Director will work closely with the Institute’s Communications department and serve as a liaison between technology and other teams within the Institute and end users alike. These women religious are of varying skills, varying ages, and practitioners of various venues of IT, but all need these services to maintain and deepen relationships in a changing environment. As this role is key to building and fostering meaningful relationships across the Institute, the ideal candidate should have non-profit or religious organizational experience, leadership experience, strong communication skills, and a diverse understanding of various information technologies.
