Age 85

A fun-loving, and creative woman, Sister Nancy’s playfulness veiled a deep spirituality.

An elementary school teacher for over 20 years in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and the Diocese of Richmond, Virginia, Nancy shared her unique talents in the classroom and beyond. An accomplished musician from her days in the orchestra at Hallahan Catholic High School for Girls in Philadelphia, Nancy was a gifted drummer and percussionist.

Nancy earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Villanova University and a master’s degree in pastoral ministry from St. Joseph’s College in Hartford, Connecticut.

She also ministered as a clown which was sacramental and very moving and as a certified massage therapist. Nancy served as a pastoral associate in the Diocese of Richmond for 14 years and at St. Nicholas Church in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, for 16 years. In retirement, she continued to share her laughter and creative ways with the sisters at McAuley Convent in Merion, Pennsylvania.
