Sister Mary Faith entered the Sisters of Mercy from St. Michael Parish in Rochester, New York. She graduated from Nazareth Normal School and Nazareth College where she earned a bachelor’s of science degree and permanent certification as a teacher. Sister M. Faith studied at Aquinas Institute of Religious Studies in Michigan, where she received an M.A. in religious studies. She taught in eight diocesan Catholic schools, was principal at St. Joseph’s School in Penfield and Holy Family School in Auburn. Sister M. Faith also was a faculty and staff member at Our Lady of Mercy High School. Jail and hospital ministries became her work for eight years. In 2002, she received the lifetime achievement award as a Woman of the Year from the Italian American Community Center.
