Age 96
Sister Margaret Ann Brown (also known as Sister Mary Anthony) was a Sister of Mercy for 77 years. Sister Margaret Ann received a bachelor‘s degree in Education from Anna Maria College, Paxton, Massachusetts, in 1957 and a Master of Education degree from Worcester State University, Worcester, Massachusetts in 1961.
In her work with and love for the orphaned children at Nazareth in Leicester, Massachusetts, and her ministry of education, with children there, at St, Aloysius School in Gilbertville, Blessed Sacrament, Sacred Heart schools in Worcester, Massachusetts, St. Patrick School in Largo, Florida and Immaculate Heart School in Santa Ana, California. Sister Margaret Ann instilled in her students a love of education and a deep gratitude for the gifts of God’s great love, Mercy, and a true spirit of joy, which personified her life.
