Age 78
Sister Edward Marie was a Sister of Mercy for 58 years during which she had a long career in food service and later served faithfully as a sacristan at the Mercy Center chapel in Buffalo, New York. Known by some as “Sister Cookie” for her baking skills, she served at a variety of ministries in Western New York.
Said Sister Diane Swanson, Buffalo local leader: “Sister shared her gifts freely and had a winning smile. She will be remembered for the many little things she took care of; however, last but not least, her kindness and prayerfulness have touched everyone.”
