Christmas is about the Incarnation, God made flesh. So much time and energy is spent preparing for Christmas day, that once the presents are opened and festivities of the day are over, we are ready to focus on the next event.

Christmas day is just the beginning. It is for us to realize that each of us is the Incarnation. The days and weeks of Advent gifted us with the time to prepare ourselves to live with the awareness and grace that God dwells in us.

God has chosen us. What do we need to foster the life of our God within us this Christmas season? What do we need to sustain and nourish the God within us?

As we begin the Christmas season, let us challenge ourselves to carry the Incarnation forward into the new year.
