Age 94
Sister Anne (formerly Sister M. Marguerite) Marineau died March 23, 2025, during the loving vigilance at the Mt. Carmel Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Manchester, New Hampshire. A native of Manchester, New Hampshire, she was one of eleven children of the late Donat and Emma (O’Malley) Marineau.
Anne held a Bachelor of Arts degree in education from Mount St. Mary College in Hooksett, New Hampshire. She taught in elementary schools in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. After 54 years of teaching, Anne went on to parish ministry at Blessed Sacrament Parish/Church, Manchester, New Hampshire. There she was able to share her love of cooking, sewing and knitting with parishioners. She joined them in rooting for favorite football teams: the New England Patriots, Notre Dame and Boston Colleges, and favored basketball teams, the Connecticut Huskies and Notre Dame women’s team.
Anne was talented in many household skills and crafts that she generously shared to help make a convent house a home and a the parish a welcoming place.
