TELECOMMUTE ELIGIBILITY: This position is essential and does not have the option to telecommute.
JOB PURPOSE: To provide supervision and coordination of support services during the transition to a non-owned Mercy facility and new service provider.

Job Type: Temporary through July or August 2024. 40 hours a week. No Benefits offered with this position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilities:
- Provide oversight to maintain the facility until turned over to new property owner.
- Provide oversight to maintain the duplex.
- Contract and coordinate with community venders for preventive maintenance, maintenance, snow removal, lawn care and landscaping in compliance with the License Agreement with Farmington Hills Senior Living.
- Execute the Emergency Plan for Sisters when needed.
- Work with Mercy High School staff overseeing the Conservancy until transfer of Conversancy is finalized.
- Coordinate with the Rose Senior Living construction management and the residents when there is an interruption in utility services due construction..
- Plan and implement the removal of equipment and furnishing in order to close of the facility.
Supervision:
- Perform office duties inclusive of processing bill payment.
- Provide supervision of the staff; work schedules, payroll, performance, communication and assuring continuity of these services when staff are not available.
Sisters:
- Communicate with the residents of Catherine’s Place and other Sisters of Mercy as indicated.
- Listen to and respond to the requests of the Sister-residents regarding the facility and support services.
Safety:
- Follows all safety procedures and protocols and reports all hazardous conditions, defective equipment, accidents, or incidents to supervisor immediately.
- Perceives potential problem situations and reports to supervisor.
- Assists in maintaining a safe, neat, and clean environment; reports environmental deficiencies such as lighting or equipment problems to the Maintenance Department.
- Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of safety procedures
- Performs in a calm, resourceful manner in emergency situations
Miscellaneous:
- Demonstrates initiative in observing what needs to be done and does it without having to be asked to do so.
- Accepts on call responsibilities as necessary
- Remains in compliance with employee handbook and other established community guidelines
- Communicates with co-workers, management, sisters, visitors, families, and others in a courteous, tactful and professional manner
- Conforms with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions,
- Other duties as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Competencies and Experience
Required:
- Associate or higher college degree.
- Minimum of two years’ experience with project/office management.
- Minimum of two years’ experience with staff supervision.
- Ability to cultivate effective working relationships with a broad range of employees and external contacts
- Solid computer skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to establish priorities,
- Capable of displaying strong self-motivation and sound decision-making ability,
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written,
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
